Gamma Cygni Western Region

Description

This rather obscure image is also part of the Gamma Cygni/Sadr Region to the west of The Gamma Cygni Nebula, South of The Propeller Nebula and contains the emission/reflection Nebula NGC6914 just above center.

This area is rich with Hydrogen-alpha (Ha) the signature wavelength of interstellar Hydrogen gas being ionized by young, hot stars.

The final image in this first stage, captured from my backyard observatory in Fremont, Michigan June 5th 2014 using a QHY11 Monochrome CCD/Takahashi E-180
